On October 6, 2018, The Foodbank of Santa Barbara honored "community heroes" Patrick Braid and Alison Hardy at their annual Table of Life Gala. Donations were raised for the Foodbank and tribute was paid to the courage and generosity displayed by Braid and Hardy during and after the Thomas Fire and Debris Flow in Montecito, California.
